Cookies and Web Beacons

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. A session ID cookie is a temporary cookie that terminates once you quit the browser. A persistent cookie is information stored by your browser on your hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following the directions provided by your Internet Browser. You may also prevent the placement of cookies on your computer by disabling them on your web browser. The option to do so is normally found in your browser's "security settings" section. However, disabling cookies in your browser may limit your use of our website as well as other websites and interactive services.

Cookies cannot be executed as code or used to deliver a virus. Other servers cannot read them and personal information cannot be gathered from them.

We also employ a software technology called clear gifs, which are sometimes known as beacons or web beacons that help us determine what website content is most effective and allows us to gauge the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that are used to track the online movements of users. Clear gifs are similar to cookies in that they are tied to users' personally identifiable information, but as with cookies personal information cannot be gathered from them.

Third Party-Linking

This Privacy Policy does not extend to third-party websites, including those that our Sites provide links to. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website that you visit, as it may differ from that of Zaz, before submitting any personally identifiable information.

Security

Your privacy is very important to us, and we take reasonable efforts to protect your information. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption when passing your financial information onto our designated payment processor. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. You are, however, responsible for the security of your Customer ID and passwords. Make sure that you do not share them with others and keep them in a safe place. Remember to always log out after your session ends, when using both public and private computers, so that other individuals do not gain access to your private personal information.

Legal Disclaimer

We do not sell or trade any of your personally identifiable information with anyone outside of Zaz or its entities or divisions. Though we make every effort to preserve your privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law, if we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary and required to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, subpoena or other legal process served on Zaz.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We will review and update this Policy periodically. The effective date of the Policy will be noted above, and if any changes are made to this Policy, the effective date above will note the date of the latest change. We encourage you to frequently review this Policy to familiarize yourself with the ways in which Zaz is protecting your information. If we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify you by posting the privacy policy changes to the Sites before the new or updated Privacy Policy takes effect or directly notify you through email of the changes to the Policy. Any new uses of your information will take effect after the effective date of new or updated Privacy Policy.
